CURRENT FIELD REPORTS
May 1, 2010 We have wrapped up our spring season of 2010 finally. Quill Lake, Saskatchewan currently is covered with snow geese. North Dakota was very productive up to just last week! The season as whole was very productive. The best hunting that we had was in North and South Dakota this spring. North Dakota proved to be a sleeper with producing the highest numbers and best decoying birds of the season. Although we had very good hunting in southern Missouri; Mound City, Missouri was our toughest hunting as we had a lot of rain and cloudy days with very few staging birds and a lot of hunting pressure. We did end up harvesting over 3500 birds on the season. We collected 2 white neck collars on ross geese and a red on a blue goose. We shot several leg bands with one $100 reward double band. Currently we are taking booking for our fall Saskatchewan, North Dakota, and Minnesota duck and goose hunts. Also weekends are filling for the 2011 spring snow goose season. A good rule of thumb on booking a spring hunt is to book a minimum of any three days in the time frames we provide. This will give you enough time in the field to allow birds to push north and south and it will allow weather patterns to come and go giving you ample time to get a big shoot while you are hunting with us.
